What is Korean Saju (Four Pillars)?
Saju (四柱) is a traditional Korean fortune telling system based on your birth date and time. The four pillars represent your birth year, month, day, and hour, each consisting of a Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch. Together, these eight characters reveal insights about your personality, fortune, and life path.
Is KFortunes free to use?
Yes! Core features are completely free:

Do I need to create an account?
No. KFortunes works entirely in your browser with no sign-up required. Your birth information is used only to calculate your Saju chart locally and is never sent to or stored on our servers.
Daily Fortune
How does Daily Fortune work?
Daily Fortune analyzes the interaction between your Day Master (일간) element and today's Day Pillar (일주). The relationship between these elements — generation (상생), control (상극), or same element (비겁) — determines your fortune scores for love, career, health, and wealth.
When does Daily Fortune update?
Daily fortune updates at midnight (based on your timezone). Each new day brings a new Day Pillar, creating a fresh reading.
Can I share my daily fortune?
Yes! Use the share buttons on the daily fortune page to create a beautiful fortune card image (1080x1920px) that you can share on social media, messaging apps, or download as a PNG.
Is KFortunes really free?
Yes — completely. There are no accounts, subscriptions, or payments. Every reading, daily fortune, and compatibility check is free, and your birth data is calculated in your browser and never stored on a server. Spotted a problem? Email [email protected].
About Saju Analysis
What is the "Day Master" (일간)?
The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of your Day Pillar — the most important element in your chart. It represents your core self. There are 10 Day Masters:
- 甲 (Gap) / 乙 (Eul) — Yang/Yin Wood
- 丙 (Byeong) / 丁 (Jeong) — Yang/Yin Fire
- 戊 (Mu) / 己 (Gi) — Yang/Yin Earth
- 庚 (Gyeong) / 辛 (Sin) — Yang/Yin Metal
- 壬 (Im) / 癸 (Gye) — Yang/Yin Water
What are the Five Elements (오행)?
The Five Elements are fundamental forces in Korean philosophy:
- Wood (목) — Growth, creativity, kindness
- Fire (화) — Passion, energy, joy
- Earth (토) — Stability, nurturing, trust
- Metal (금) — Precision, justice, clarity
- Water (수) — Wisdom, adaptability, depth
Why do you need my birth time?
Your birth hour determines the Hour Pillar (시주). Without it, you still get a 3-pillar analysis which is less detailed but still valuable. If you don't know your exact birth time, just skip it!
Is this scientifically proven?
Saju is a traditional cultural practice, not a scientific discipline. We recommend treating readings as entertainment and cultural exploration, not as definitive predictions. See our Terms of Service for our full disclaimer.
K-Star Compatibility
How is compatibility calculated?
Compatibility scores are based on the Five Elements interaction between your Day Master and the celebrity's Day Master: generation (상생), control (상극), same element (비겁), and yin-yang balance.
Should I take compatibility scores seriously?
No! Compatibility scores are for fun only. Real relationships depend on communication, shared values, effort, and many factors that no fortune system can measure.

Is my data safe?
Yes. We use industry-standard security:
- HTTPS encryption on all connections
- All Saju calculations run locally in your browser — your birth data never leaves your device

Can I install KFortunes as an app?
Yes! KFortunes is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On most browsers, you'll see an "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" option. Once installed, it works like a native app with offline support for cached pages.
What languages are supported?
KFortunes supports 5 languages: English, Korean (한국어), Japanese (日本語), Chinese (中文), and Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt). Use the language selector in the navigation to switch.
My page isn't loading properly. What should I do?
- Make sure JavaScript is enabled
- Clear your browser cache and refresh
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Disable ad blockers that might interfere with scripts
- Check your internet connection
